Decking Basics
1. Board Width & Gap
Standard boards are often 95mm, 120mm, or 145mm wide. Gaps (3-5mm) are crucial for water drainage.
2. Joist Spacing (CC)
Center-to-Center spacing. 600mm is standard for 28mm decking. 400mm is often required for composite or thinner boards.
3. Screws
Calculate 2 screws per intersection (joist x board). Use stainless steel for durability.
