Understanding Pattern Repeat

Free Match (0 cm)

Easiest to hang. No pattern to line up. Less waste.

Straight Match

The pattern matches across the wallpaper at the same height. You align the pattern at the same level on each strip.

Offset Match (or Drop Match)

The pattern shifts on each strip, usually by half the repeat. Increases waste. Check label for "Half Drop".

Pro tip: Always order 1 extra roll than calculated for safety, especially with offset matches.

Wall Height

Measure from skirting/floor to ceiling/cornice. Add 10cm trim allowance (calculator handles this).

Windows & Doors?
